For those seeking adventure without venturing too far, Furano offers a range of trails suitable for beginners. We highly recommend Nakafurano Forest Park and Torinuma Park for family-friendly hikes.
The relatively flat landscape of both parks provides a memorable and accessible experience where visitors can explore lush forests, streams, waterfalls, and breathtaking scenic views. Additionally, the Shirogane Blue Pond and the Shirahige Waterfall are must-see Furano landmarks that are relatively accessible by vehicle.
As for moderate and advanced hikers, there is no better place to explore than Daisetsuzan National Park. With trails ranging from 5 to 20 kilometers, Daisetsuzan National Park will undoubtedly require some experience and preparation.
Other noteworthy options include Mount Furano, Tokachidake Mountain Range, Furano Traverse Trail, and Mt. Ashibetsu.
